View Live Interactive Profile →Scott Shleifer joined Tiger Global in 2002 after working in private equity at The Blackstone Group, and co-founded the firm's private equity investing arm in 2003. Press reporting credits him with directing Tiger Global's venture capital into Chinese technology companies including JD.com, Didi Chuxing and Meituan, and with building the firm's crossover private investing model. He became global head of private equity and co-portfolio manager of the private business alongside Chase Coleman in 2019. Tiger Global announced in November 2023 that he would step down from that role, and he moved to a full-time senior advisor position effective January 1, 2024.
