Biography

Scott Darling has spent more than two decades moving between operating and venture roles at some of the largest technology companies in the world, giving Dell Technologies Capital an unusually deep bench of institutional experience for a corporate venture arm. After early product marketing roles at Apple and a decade rising through Intel - eventually becoming Vice President and Managing Director of Intel Capital, where he oversaw investment teams supporting more than two-thirds of Intel's total revenue - he spent 12 years as a General Partner at Frazier Technology Ventures before EMC recruited him to start its venture practice in 2012. That practice became Dell Technologies Capital after Dell's acquisition of EMC, and Darling has run it as President ever since, describing it as pulling the best of both his Intel Capital and Frazier experience. He led Zscaler's Series A as DTC's first institutional investment and still sits on its board today, alongside a run of other IPO outcomes - DocuSign, JFrog, MongoDB, Nutanix - that have made DTC one of the more consistently productive corporate venture arms in enterprise technology.
