Biography

Scot Wingo is a General Partner of the NC Tweener Fund, which he launched in 2022 as the Triangle Tweener Fund. The fund's own about page states that he holds a Computer Engineering degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master's from North Carolina State University, describes him as a serial entrepreneur and says he is currently CEO of ReFiBuy. Business North Carolina reported on 17 January 2026 that he founded Stingray Software (1994 to 1999), co-founded ChannelAdvisor and was its CEO from 2001 to 2015, and co-founded Get Spiffy, stepping down as its CEO in January 2026 while remaining a director; the same article states that ChannelAdvisor was publicly traded and was acquired by CommerceHub, now Rithum, in 2022, and that Wingo coined the term "Tweeners". He launched the Triangle Tweener List in 2015. He is quoted as General Partner of the NC Tweener Fund in NC IDEA's press releases of February and April 2026.
