Biography

Rick Kimball co-founded TCV with Jay Hoag in 1995 and his TCV bio states he has been a venture capitalist and technology investor for 40 years. Before TCV he spent more than a decade at Montgomery Securities, where he was a Managing Director covering telecommunications and data communications as a venture capitalist and senior equity research analyst. TCV's site currently lists him as Founding General Partner, Senior Advisor. He serves on the University of California, San Francisco Board of Trustees and on the board of the Ohana Foundation in Kona, Hawaii, and served on the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2020.
