Biography

Philip Bilden is Founder and Managing Partner of Shield Capital, a national security focused venture capital firm he co-founded with Raj Shah in 2021 and which closed a $186 million inaugural fund in 2023. Shield Capital describes him as a former co-founding member of the global private equity firm HarbourVest Partners, where he served as Managing Director of HarbourVest Partners (Asia) Ltd. He serves as a director of GoSecure, Authentic8 and SeaSatellites, and is Chairman of the Naval War College Foundation and its Cyber Task Force. He served in Military Intelligence with the U.S. Army Reserve and sits on the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel.
