View Live Interactive Profile →Peter Vanbekbergen is Partner and Co-founder of imec.xpand, the independent venture fund with privileged access to the imec research ecosystem. A repeat entrepreneur with deep knowledge of imec from the inside, he served as assistant vice-president of imec's systems division from 2003 to 2007 and co-founded the imec spin-off M4S, a radiofrequency transceiver company where he was vice-president of engineering until its acquisition by Huawei in 2010. He returned to imec in 2015 as innovation manager, structuring business ideas and assembling management teams for new ventures, before co-founding imec.xpand at its 2017 launch. At the fund he assesses the uniqueness, technological feasibility and scalability of prospective deeptech investments.
