Omobola Johnson is Senior Partner at TLcom Capital, which she joined in 2015, where she leads fundraising, deal flow and HR and supports overall fund management. She served as Nigeria's first Minister of Communication Technology from 2011 to 2015, launching the National Broadband Plan and supporting the country's startup ecosystem through early government venture capital participation and incubator networks. Before public office she spent more than 25 years in management consulting at Arthur Andersen and Accenture, was admitted to the Accenture partnership in 2000 and served five years as Country Managing Director of Accenture Nigeria. She holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Cranfield, a master's in digital electronics from King's College London and a bachelor's in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Manchester, and she co-founded WIMBIZ.
