Over the following years he built one of the most recognized personal angel portfolios in African tech, backing more than 30 startups including Mono, PiggyVest, TeamApt (now Moniepoint), and Paystack before Stripe acquired it. He co-founded Voltron Capital with U.S.-based investor Abe Choi in 2021, built specifically to formalize that individual track record into an institutional fund addressing what he's called a severe lack of access to early-stage capital for African founders. Voltron's $20,000-to-$100,000 check sizes target pre-seed and seed startups across Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and North Africa, and the firm invested in 53 companies through its first fund alone.
