Biography

Noor Sweid is the founder and Managing Partner of Global Ventures, the Dubai-headquartered venture capital firm she established in 2018 to invest in founders across emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa. Before Global Ventures she was Chief Investment Officer at the Dubai Future Foundation and Managing Partner at Leap Ventures. Earlier she joined her family enterprise Depa, listed on NASDAQ Dubai and the London Stock Exchange, where she scaled the business and executed four cross-border acquisitions, and she founded ZenYoga, which became the region's largest wellness chain before being acquired by a private equity firm. Her career began as a biotech strategy consultant at Accenture. She holds bachelor's degrees in Finance and Economics from Boston College and an MBA from MIT Sloan, chairs MEVCA, and was a founding board member of Endeavor UAE.
