Biography

Matt Bigge's path to Crosslink Capital runs through the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division, where he served as an Airborne- and Ranger-qualified Infantry officer after graduating Georgetown, before earning his MBA at Harvard Business School. He co-founded MILCOM Technologies in 1997, spending years commercializing more than $2 billion of defense-focused R&D into ten separate product companies - work that led to a track record backing companies like ArcSight (acquired by HP), CloudShield (acquired by SAIC), and Narus (acquired by Boeing). After serving as CEO of Strategic Social Holdings and a Venture Partner at Paladin Capital, he joined Crosslink in 2016 with a two-decade relationship to the firm's team already in place - he'd worked with Crosslink partner Eric Chin years earlier at MILCOM. That military-to-venture pipeline is now a defining part of Crosslink's brand: Bigge pulls the firm's cybersecurity and national-security-adjacent investing into what Crosslink calls 'plausible science fiction,' broadening it well past a conventional enterprise SaaS identity.
