Biography

Kevin McLoughlin is Partner and Co-Founder of MTech Capital, leading the insurtech venture firm's London office and its European investing. His career spans more than three decades in insurance finance, including 22 years in investment banking focused exclusively on the sector, as Global Head of Insurance Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, head of global insurance banking at Citigroup and head of European insurance at UBS, after starting out in finance and investments at AIG from 1988 to 1995. At MTech he has backed companies including Corvus Insurance, acquired by Travelers for $435 million in 2024, Akur8 and CyberCube, and he sits on boards including Akur8, Insurify and Thinksurance. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Boston College.
