Biography

John Frankel founded ff Venture Capital in 2008 and is listed on the firm's team page as Partner / US. His biography there says the firm has since funded over 150 seed and early-stage companies, and that he is currently focused on applied artificial intelligence including drones, robotics and financial services technology. Before founding the firm he had a long career at Goldman Sachs in roles involving technology development, business reengineering and capital markets. He graduated from New College, Oxford in 1982 with a Masters in Mathematics and Philosophy and then worked at Arthur Andersen, qualifying as a Fellow Chartered Accountant. His firm biography states that he has served on the boards of over sixty companies as well as the NYU Tandon School of Engineering; that is an aggregate historical claim in the past tense and is not used here.
