View Live Interactive Profile →Jim Andelman is a co-founder and Managing Director of Bonfire Ventures. In his own words on the firm's site he has spent his entire career in and around B2B software and has been a venture investor for about 25 years. He began his venture career in the Bay Area in 1999, leading software investing for a $250M expansion-stage fund, and in 2005 founded and served as Managing Partner of Rincon Venture Partners. After a run of co-investments with Mark Mullen the two co-founded Bonfire Ventures in 2017 to lead seed-stage financings exclusively in B2B software. He writes that he led what was effectively MNTN's seed round in 2011 and served on its board of directors for fourteen years; MNTN's proxy statement records that he resigned from that board on 23 February 2025, before the company's May 2025 NYSE listing. The Form D for Bonfire Ventures IV, LP names him as a Managing Director of the fund's general partner, and he is a reporting person on the Schedule 13G filed on MNTN stock in August 2025.
