Jared Friedman is Managing Director, Software and General Partner at Y Combinator. He was a co-founder of Scribd, which was funded by Y Combinator in 2006, and served as its chief technology officer before taking a sabbatical in 2015 and joining YC as a full-time partner that October. He studied computer science at Harvard. Y Combinator's site states he has advised more than 20 YC unicorns.
