Ignacio Martinez is a General Partner at Flagship Pioneering, which he joined in early 2013 to lead the firm's sustainability venture creation activities, with a stated interest in food, nutrition and human health. He is a co-founder and founding CEO of Montai Therapeutics, CIBO Technologies, Inari Agriculture and Invaio Sciences, and a founding team member and director of Indigo Ag. Before Flagship he was a founding member and managing director of Syngenta Ventures, the venture arm of Syngenta International, and earlier served as founding CFO of Progenika Group. He was also a co-founder of Senda Biosciences, which merged with Laronde to form Sail Biomedicines.
