The two built one of China's most consistently successful venture firms over the following two decades, backing more than 480 companies with over 70 reaching unicorn status and more than 180 completing IPOs or acquisitions, including Xiaomi, Meituan, Bilibili, and Zhihu. Rieschel later co-founded Qiming U.S. with Mark McDade in 2017, extending the firm's model into an independent US dollar fund, and has remained a Founding Managing Partner across both entities as Qiming grew to $9.5 billion in assets under management - backed by longtime institutional partners including Princeton, Duke, MIT, and NYU.
