Biography

Emma Cui is Co-Founder and Founding Managing Partner of LongHash Ventures, the title printed on the firm's About page. Her Kauffman Fellows directory profile (class KF 28) describes her as “Founding partner and CEO of LongHash Ventures” and records a Master of Science from the National University of Singapore, a Bachelor of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and CFA charterholder status, with prior roles as a senior management consultant at McKinsey and as a banker at ANZ Bank and Macquarie Bank. Forbes reported in October 2022 that she founded the firm with Shi Khai, an ex-McKinsey colleague. She was quoted as Founding Partner and CEO in the firm's own August 2022 announcement of the first close of its $100 million Fund II, saying “By running both an accelerator and an early stage fund that provides hands-on support, our unique value lies in leveraging LongHashX to bootstrap the Asia ecosystem.” She writes the firm's research posts under her own byline. No current board seat could be verified from any filing or portfolio-company page; most of the firm's portfolio consists of token protocols rather than companies with disclosed boards.
