Eghosa Omoigui spent nearly a decade at Intel, rising to Director of Strategic Investments at Intel Capital, where he sourced and developed the investment thesis behind early bets on AdMob, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pandora, and several other companies that became category leaders. He founded EchoVC Partners in Lagos in 2011, built explicitly around backing underrepresented founders and underserved markets - an intentional continuation of the platform-agnostic, geographically expansive sourcing instinct he'd developed inside Intel Capital. That approach has taken EchoVC's investing well beyond Africa into Southeast Asia and Latin America, and the firm has since built a dedicated growth-stage vehicle, EchoVC+, in partnership with TPG Growth and the TPG Rise Fund. Omoigui holds law degrees from the University of Nigeria and the University of Pennsylvania alongside an MBA from Babson College's Olin Graduate School of Business.
