Biography

Christian Theriault is a Partner at Material Impact, which he joined in 2020, and works across deep tech industries including robotics, machine vision, and medical devices. A serial entrepreneur, he co-founded TAG Optics, developer of the world's fastest focusing lens used in laser material processing, metrology, and biomedical applications, which was acquired by Mitutoyo Corporation. He also co-founded medical device startups spun out of his graduate research and helped bring products to market at a biotechnology startup developing new chemical entities in dermatology and neuropharmacology. He serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence for the NSF I-Corps Northeast Regional Hub at Princeton University and has spent nearly a decade mentoring high tech startups. He holds an AB in molecular biology and bioengineering and an MSE from Princeton University.
