He joined Rami Kalish's Polaris Venture Capital in 1996, and the firm rebranded as Pitango in 2001, growing under his leadership as Managing General Partner into Israel's largest and longest-standing venture capital firm, with more than $3 billion under management across 13 funds and over 250 companies backed. Peres has been especially active in Pitango's health-tech practice and serves on the boards of Via Transportation, Taboola, Radwin, and several other portfolio companies, while also chairing the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation.
