Biography

Brett Gibson is a Managing Partner at Initialized Capital, where his firm bio states he spent his career prior to Initialized writing software and invests across crypto, dev tools, AI/ML and cloud infrastructure. He cofounded the blog platforms Posthaven and Posterous, which was acquired by Twitter, and later wrote software for Y Combinator, building its internal software systems. He was also a founder of Slinkset, funded by Y Combinator in 2008, and of DrawHere, acquired by DeviantArt in 2006. He was promoted to Managing Partner in August 2022 and announced the firm's October 2024 restructuring.
