Biography

Aleksander Dobrzyniecki is a General Partner and co-founder of Balnord, where he leads sourcing and investment in the firm's core geographies through a network of founders, co-investors and ecosystem builders. He was previously a Partner at Black Pearls VC, where he led more than 10 deals and contributed to over 30 transactions, and earlier held an operational role at a London-based e-commerce startup. His Black Pearls investments include Nordigen (Latvia), which was acquired by GoCardless, and Telemedi (Poland), acquired by Uniqa, as well as HeavyFinance in Lithuania and eAgronom in Estonia. At Balnord his recent investments include ATMOS Space Cargo and port.app in 2024 and VitVio in 2025. He holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and a first class honours BSc in Business and Finance from Cass Business School.
