Wamda Capital

Wamda Capital is the Dubai-based venture investment arm of Wamda, the MENA entrepreneurship platform founded by Aramex co-founder Fadi Ghandour; wamda.com describes Wamda Capital as Wamda's 'sector-agnostic investment vehicle'. It launched Wamda Capital Fund I in 2015, a US$70 million fund backed by the IFC, Zain and regional investors, and in 2019 moved to an evergreen structure funded by Fadi Ghandour's personal capital instead of closing the US$100 million Fund II it had announced. The firm is still actively investing at seed and Series A across MENA and Turkey, leading rounds as recently as January 2026, but it no longer raises third-party institutional funds. Its track record spans over 100 companies and includes Careem, Mumzworld, Tabby, Hala and BitOasis.
