Seventure Partners

Seventure Partners is a French venture capital manager that finances innovative companies "depuis l'amorcage jusqu'au capital-developpement" (from seed through development capital). Its stated expertise is organised in two departments, Sciences de la vie (life sciences) and Technologies digitales (digital technologies), with a third Sport & bien-etre theme. Life sciences sub-sectors it names are microbiome, nutrition, foodtech and wellbeing, medical devices, digital and connected health, pharmaceuticals, industrial biotechnology, the blue economy and animal health and nutrition. Digital sub-sectors it names are fintech, retailtech, hardware and telecom and other innovative digital solutions. The firm says it looks for companies addressing a significant market and holding a technology or know-how that gives a durable competitive advantage, that it stays in the capital for periods that can exceed 10 years, and that it generally takes a seat on the board or supervisory board of the companies it finances. Its shareholder engagement policy states that Seventure generally asks for a seat on governance bodies of unlisted holdings depending on the weight of the investment, the stage and the geography. It runs several distinct fund ranges rather than a single flagship series: Health For Life Capital and Health for Life Capital II (microbiome, health and nutrition), Digital Opportunities Fund (fintech, insurtech, regtech, retailtech in France and Germany), Sport & Performance Capital (sport and wellbeing), Quadrivium 1 Seed Fund (seed, from twelve academic partners), the AVF fund (animal health, feed and nutrition, cornerstoned by Adisseo), Blue Forward Fund (blue economy) and retail FCPI vehicles. It is headquartered in Paris; its Venture Partners are described on the team pages as based in Geneva, London, Munich, Basel, Berlin and Paris.
