The firm was founded in Singapore and Silicon Valley in 2015 and describes a cross-border investor base: it says its limited partners are leaders in industry in Singapore, the United States, India, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Australia, and that its investor and partner base includes entrepreneurs, family offices, foundations, institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, banks and strategic operators across the United States, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. It states that it sees its world through the IPO journey of its portfolio companies.

K2 Global is reported on 24 February 2017 (e27, via Yahoo News Singapore) to have closed a US$183 million fund, with Ozi Amanat and Minal Hasan both named as founders.
2018
Spotify's public listing; DealStreetAsia reports on 4 April 2018 that Ozi Amanat said the listing gave K2 well over 300 per cent returns on the investment and would help return capital to K2's LPs.

K2 Global XI LLC, a Delaware entity with a Singapore business address at 16 Raffles Quay, files a Form D with the SEC on 31 March 2025 naming Ozi Amanat as Director and sole related person.
