Innovation Endeavors

Innovation Endeavors was co-founded in 2010 by former Google Chairman and CEO Eric Schmidt and Dror Berman, a former NICE Systems R&D team leader with an MBA from Stanford, building a small, deeply technical early-stage fund investing at the intersection of science and company creation. Berman developed the firm's core 'Super Evolution' thesis - that converging advances in data, computing, and engineering are letting startups re-architect deeply physical industries, from agriculture to space to manufacturing, in years rather than decades - and the firm typically invests $1-15 million, taking active operating roles alongside the companies it backs. That philosophy produced early bets on Uber, SoFi, Planet, Zymergen, Freenome, and Blue River Technologies (later acquired by John Deere), and Innovation Endeavors has invested in 115 companies with 34 exits over 14 years, closing its fifth fund at $630 million in 2024.
