On 6 June 2023 Sequoia Capital announces a three-way separation into Sequoia Capital (US and Europe), Peak XV Partners (India and Southeast Asia) and HongShan (China), to take effect by March 2024.
2024
HongShan is reported to have closed a renminbi-denominated fund of about $2.5 billion in March 2024, backed in part by Chinese state and insurance capital.
2025
On 19 December 2025 HSG announces an investment in the Italian brand Golden Goose alongside Temasek and Permira.
