Its own sites state that it was founded in 2004, that it invests in early-stage companies developing AI-enabled enterprise software, consumer platforms and healthcare technology, and that it manages both US dollar and RMB funds. The homepage states eight USD funds and four RMB funds. It lists offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore.

In March 2025 the US business is presented publicly under the separate brand Informed Ventures; Allen Zhu is quoted saying '不是分拆，分开品牌避免误解' (not a split, separating the brands to avoid misunderstanding).
