Dawn Capital

Dawn Capital was founded in 2006/2007 by Norman Fiore and Haakon Overli, joined early by Josh Bell as founding team, building what has become Europe's leading specialist B2B software investor. The firm concentrates deliberately on four themes - the future of work, data and analytics, security and privacy, and fintech - backing category-defining European software companies from Series A through growth rounds to exit, rather than spreading generalist bets across the continent. That focus produced an extraordinary concentration of outcomes: Dawn was the only investor in both iZettle (acquired by PayPal for $2.2 billion) and Tink (acquired by Visa for approximately $2 billion), Europe's second and third largest fintech M&A exits in history, alongside Mimecast's NASDAQ listing (later taken private by Permira in a $5.8 billion deal). Dawn has backed more than 85 software companies across 14 European countries, including eight unicorns, with $2 billion in total commitments across five flagship funds.
