Bosch Ventures is the corporate venture capital company of the Bosch Group, operated by the legal entity Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH. It is a corporate arm rather than an independent venture partnership: the Bosch Group is its sole capital provider and the unit describes itself in its own press material as "the corporate venture capital company of the Bosch Group". The firm states its investment sweet spot is early stage, while also looking at later-stage companies and, in selected cases, seed stage. It states investments of up to EUR 25m per company and equity positions of up to 25 percent. Its printed focus areas are AI / Deep Learning, Automation & Digitalization, Semiconductor & Next Generation Computer, Advanced Manufacturing and Mobility Solutions, organised into search clusters it names Automation & Electrification, Enabling Technologies, Climate Tech and Healthcare. It invests in deep-tech companies worldwide from offices in Stuttgart and Frankfurt in Germany, Sunnyvale and Boston in the United States, Shanghai in China and Tel Aviv in Israel. The unit also runs Open Bosch, a startup-engagement programme that connects portfolio and other startups with Bosch business units.
