2048 Ventures describes itself on its own homepage as "a thesis-driven early stage venture capital firm based in NYC and Boston" that invests in Vertical AI, Deep Tech, Health and Bio. It leads pre-seed and seed rounds with checks the firm states as $500K to $3M. It runs a published process called the Pre-Seed Fast Track, which the firm says takes no more than 10 business days from first meeting to money in the bank. At the time of its first fund the firm told TechCrunch it looked for founders with "genuinely differentiated technology" and for first-time founders or serial entrepreneurs who still have the "first-time founder mindset", and described itself as geography-agnostic within the United States and Canada.
