Biography

Wayee Chu is a co-founder and Partner at Reach Capital. She was born in Queens, New York and raised in Connecticut by Chinese immigrant parents, an upbringing her bio ties to her commitment to closing the achievement gap in education. In 2005 she joined NewSchools Venture Fund in California, where she worked alongside Jennifer Carolan, Shauntel Garvey and Esteban Sosnik before the group co-founded Reach Capital in 2015. Her investments include Handshake, Replit, Swing Education, Campus and Kaymbu, and she was an investor in Gradescope, which exited to Turnitin. Reach Capital does not publish her education history or board seats.
