Born and raised in communist-era Albania, he started his first business at seven and helped bring the internet to Albania as an eleven-year-old. Diagnosed with cancer at fifteen, he moved to the United States for treatment, learned English from hospital nurses and later left college to build his first US software company. After co-founding two more companies he founded Hyperplane in 2014.
