Tom Drummond is founding managing director of Heavybit. He holds an MEng and MA in electrical and information sciences from Clare College, Cambridge, and began his career as an electronic engineer at the British National Grid before moving into venture capital at Reed Elsevier Ventures, where he ran the West Coast office. He co-founded Heavybit in 2013 and has led it since, growing capital raised past $150M from backers including Accel, Redpoint and Bessemer.
