Tod Francis co-founded Shasta Ventures in 2004 with Ravi Mohan and Rob Coneybeer after leaving Trinity Ventures, where he had worked since 1993 and had focused on consumer and then consumer internet investing. Before venture capital he spent about ten years in marketing and management roles, including as a marketing manager at Johnson & Johnson on the Tylenol brand and as a partner at RAM Group Marketing Management. At Shasta his stated investment focus is technology-enabled consumer companies, and he has described Nextdoor and Doctor On Demand among the investments he has been part of. Shasta's current team page lists him as a Founding Partner rather than as an active managing director.
