Biography

Soichi Tajima is Representative Director and General Partner of Genesia Ventures, Inc., which he founded in August 2016. His Genesia Ventures profile page states he spent roughly eight years at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation working in personal loans, corporate financing, syndication and debt securitisation, joined CyberAgent, Inc. in January 2005 where he launched financial services, then worked as a venture capitalist at CyberAgent Ventures (now CyberAgent Capital), becoming its Representative Director in August 2010 and overseeing investment strategy across eight countries centred on Japan and Southeast Asia. The same page states he has served as Chairman of the Japan Venture Capital Association since July 2023, and that he studied at Osaka University's Faculty of Engineering.
