He launched the fund in 2021 under the venture studio Rainmaking and by 2025 had raised a US$100 million second fund backed by 17 strategic maritime corporations. Before Motion he was an Investment Principal at TRIVE, leading venture investments in B2B technology companies, and earlier worked as an engineer on electric vehicle programmes for Amazon, BMW and Ford and on well flow performance at Royal Dutch Shell. He holds a First Class Honours MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London and has been named to Forbes 30 Under 30.
