Biography

Samsung Venture Investment Corporation was established in 1999 as the corporate venture capital arm of Samsung Electronics, built to identify and back small and medium-sized companies developing breakthrough technologies across semiconductors, telecommunications, software, AI, robotics, and cybersecurity. Rather than offering capital alone, the fund provides portfolio companies with management support, technical resources, and market access drawn from Samsung's global manufacturing and distribution scale - a genuine structural advantage most standalone VCs can't replicate. Over more than 25 years, Samsung Ventures has invested in more than 200 companies across offices spanning South Korea, Silicon Valley, and Europe, producing 10-plus unicorns, 24 IPOs, and 65 acquisitions including SentinelOne, Niantic, and Swiggy, and now manages approximately $2.8 billion.
