Biography

Paul Grossinger built an early career in media and entrepreneurship, co-founding Pervasive Group and later Blue Jay Syndicate, before co-founding Gaingels with David Beatty in 2014 as a small angel group of LGBTQIA+ investors backing LGBTQIA+ founders. After investing roughly $4 million between 2015 and 2017, Grossinger and Beatty transformed Gaingels into a formal venture investment firm in 2018, broadening its mandate to co-invest alongside established VCs in oversubscribed rounds while championing diverse leadership across the entire venture chain - founders, executives, board members, and check-writers alike. Under his continued leadership as co-founder, Gaingels has deployed more than $1 billion into over 2,500 companies including 75-plus unicorns such as Databricks, Weights & Biases, and Remote, while running programs like the Diversity Term Sheet Rider and an internal board-recruitment advisory to help portfolio companies build more inclusive leadership.
