Biography

Nenad Marovac's path to founding DN Capital ran through post-reunification Berlin, where he advised the Treuhandanstalt on privatizing East German state assets in the early 1990s - an experience that gave him deep, early relationships across Germany's business community, years before DACH became a fashionable venture destination. After a Harvard MBA and a partnership at Advent International, he co-founded DN Capital in 2000 with his Harvard classmate Steve Schlenker, and that German foothold compounded over two decades into a portfolio anchored by category leaders like AUTO1 Group, HomeToGo, and Mister Spex - all of which went public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2021. AUTO1's roughly €7.9 billion debut, Germany's largest tech IPO at the time, let DN Capital exit 95% of its stake, and Marovac has twice been named to the Forbes Midas List Europe for that track record.
