View Live Interactive Profile →Matt Clifford co-founded Entrepreneur First with Alice Bentinck in 2011 and is listed on the firm's own site as Cofounder and Chair, a role he describes on his personal site as non-executive Chair. He is also chair of the UK's Advanced Research and Invention Agency and vice chair of the advisory board of the UK AI Security Institute. In 2023 he led the preparations and negotiations for the AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park as the UK Prime Minister's Representative, and in 2024 he was asked by the UK Government to create an AI Action Plan and then served as the Prime Minister's Adviser on AI in Number 10 until summer 2025. He was awarded an MBE in 2016 and a CBE in 2024, and he serves on the boards of Code First Girls, the Kennedy Memorial Trust and Accurx.
