Biography

Mary Meeker earned the nickname 'Queen of the Internet' in the 1990s for her Internet Trends reports, published annually from 1995 through 2019, which synthesized hundreds of data points into directionally accurate predictions about where technology was heading - reports so influential that CEOs would rearrange their schedules to read them the day they dropped. She spent nearly a decade leading Kleiner Perkins' growth investing practice, backing Facebook, Spotify, Airbnb, Uber, and Slack, before an internal power struggle led her to leave in September 2018 and found Bond Capital with three fellow Kleiner alumni. Bond has grown into a $5.9 billion growth-equity platform applying Meeker's research-driven, data-first investment discipline to late-stage technology companies, with Canva - backed since 2019 and now valued at $42 billion - as its signature bet, alongside Applied Intuition, Checkr, and AI voice company ElevenLabs.
