Founder & Managing Director at Zetta Venture Partners · Joined 2013
View Live Interactive Profile →Mark Gorenberg spent three decades in venture capital before founding Zetta, joining Hummer Winblad Venture Partners in 1990 shortly after its founding and spending roughly 20 years there as Managing Director, serving on the boards of Omniture, AdForce, NetDynamics, and Scopus Technologies through IPOs and acquisitions by Adobe, CMGI, Sun Microsystems, and Siebel respectively. He left in 2013 to found Zetta Venture Partners, deliberately positioning it as the first venture fund investing exclusively in AI-native startups, years before the category became mainstream. Gorenberg brings a genuinely technical foundation to that specialization - he was a member of the original SPARCstation 1 team at Sun Microsystems before moving into venture - and beyond investing, he chairs the MIT Corporation's board of trustees and was appointed by President Obama to the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology in 2011.
