Biography

Mar Hershenson is Co-Founder and Founding Managing Partner of Pear VC, which she formed with Pejman Nozad as Pejman Mar Ventures in August 2013 and which was renamed Pear VC in 2016. Her firm bio lists her focus as AI, B2B and Consumer, and notes she holds 14 patents and more than 13 years of founder experience across three startups in mobile and ecommerce, enterprise software and semiconductors, including Barcelona Design, Sabio Labs and Revel Touch, and that she was VP Product at Magma Design Automation. She holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and teaches Lean Launchpad there. Forbes reported that she and Nozad invested $250,000 into DoorDash's seed round in 2013 and continued to back the company through its Series A and B.
