Biography

Mahmoud Adi is a Founding Partner of Shorooq Partners, the Abu Dhabi-based alternative investment firm he co-founded in 2017 with Shane Shin. Before Shorooq he spent a decade at Mubadala Investment Company working on technology and manufacturing transactions. He is also a co-founder of Pure Harvest Smart Farms, a UAE vertical farming company that later became a Shorooq portfolio company. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Petroleum Institute, now Khalifa University. He has publicly framed Shorooq's ambition as building a Blackstone equivalent for the Middle East, with private credit as a core pillar.
