Luke Nosek co-founded PayPal in 1998 and served as vice president of marketing and strategy, where he created the company's Instant Transfer product. After PayPal was sold to eBay he co-founded Founders Fund in 2005 with Peter Thiel and Ken Howery, and in 2008 he led the first venture investment into SpaceX, joining its board and remaining on it since. He left Founders Fund in July 2017 to co-found Gigafund with former Founders Fund venture partner Stephen Oskoui, and he also sits on the boards of Last Energy, ResearchGate and Luminous Computing. He holds a degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
