Biography

Leo Polovets co-founded Susa Ventures in 2013 alongside Chad Byers and Seth Berman, and the firm announced a $25 million debut seed fund in 2014. Before venture he was the second non-founding engineer at LinkedIn, where he worked on the first versions of LinkedIn Groups and LinkedIn Jobs and implemented core graph algorithms, and he later worked on real-time payment fraud detection at Google and was an early engineer at Factual. His own site at codingvc.com lists Robinhood, Flexport, Andela, Mux, Stord and Stedi among his seed investments. He is General Partner at Humba Ventures, which he describes as part of the broader Susa fund family, and susaventures.com no longer lists him on its team.
