Biography

Lee Fixel spent 13 years at Tiger Global Management, rising to head its private equity business and building its global internet portfolio with early bets on Spotify, Uber, Facebook, and Flipkart, before leaving in 2019 to found his own firm. He launched Addition in 2020 with $1.3 billion in debut capital, operating as the firm's sole publicly known decision-maker to keep the investment process fast and streamlined. That approach produced dLocal's $6 billion IPO in 2021 - Addition's first major public exit - and Fixel has continued backing category-defining companies including Snyk, Chainalysis, Hugging Face, and Applied Intuition, growing Addition to more than $7 billion in assets under management across five funds. He has been repeatedly named to the Forbes Midas List and, with his wife Lauren, is among the largest donors to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
