Siemens announced his appointment in November 2016; he joined from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he had spent two years building HPE Pathfinder, the company's venture capital program. Earlier he worked in venture capital and corporate development at Cisco on business strategy and early-stage technology acquisitions, and began his career as an engineer in Silicon Valley. His current investments include Verkada, Tractian, VAST Data, Cohesity, Observe.AI and Sennder, with past investments including Meraki, ThoughtSpot, Hortonworks and Markforged. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a master's in electrical engineering from Kansas State University.
