The same page states he holds a master's degree in engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Chung-Ang University, and took but did not complete an MBA at Wharton; that he was US director for MusicShake, a user-generated music venture and TechCrunch40 finalist, a marketing manager at Microsoft Korea, and worked in sales and marketing at Xionex; and that he is the author of the books The Startup Bible and The Startup Bible 2. SEC Form D filings name him as the manager of the Strong Ventures general partner entities and he is the signatory on the firm's Form D filings from Strong Ventures V through the March 2026 Nova IV series. THE VC's record for the Korean company 유한회사 스트롱벤처스 lists 배기홍 as 대표자 and as currently serving. No board seats, IPO count or exit count could be sourced, and no individual deal attribution met the evidence bar.
